Black Forest Distillers GmbH
Perfectly clean results and brilliant design make the M-iClean U dishwasher of choice
"Ten years ago I would still have hidden a dishwasher behind a wooden partition"
Gin is a drink with a long and illustrious history – and now Alexander Stein and Christoph Keller have given it a stylish new twist. Monkey 47 gin from the Black Forest Distillers has won a long list of prizes, including an award as the world's best gin at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
It's a 'gin-win' situation for anyone who gets the chance to sample this world-famous spirit – and an invitation to try some together with the Swabian dough pockets known as Maultaschen at the Black Forest Distillers' new office in central Stuttgart is simply too good to be missed! The signal box building at No. 7 Westbahnhof in Stuttgart is the perfect designer location for a company that has won such a wide array of awards for its own design work. This impressive office space – previously the home of typographer, designer and author Kurt Weidemann, who developed logos for Porsche, Zeiss and Deutsche Bahn among others – is now the go-to place for professional bar staff from all over the world who are keen to taste the Black Forest dry gin.
"Ten years ago I would still have hidden a dishwasher behind a wooden partition," says Alexander Stein frankly. But as a design perfectionist who has given his own signature touch to the entire Monkey brand environment – from the label and brown apothecary bottles to the storytelling and photo shoots – Stein deliberately chose the M-iClean U for his dishwashing needs, a machine that looks fantastic, fits neatly into its surroundings and offers superb results. MEIKO would like to express its thanks for this marvellous co-branding!
